A “Biography” from The Reverend Daisher Rocket

Well, first off - my name is The Reverend Daisher Rocket.  I’m an artist and a bartender at Mr. Toads in Greensburg PA.  I also paint really big murals for everyone to enjoy.  

I’m a painter, printmaker, I also perform these weird public projects that I hope you’d find funny, and write self-published (non-helpful) Self-Help Books.  Creating art is the way I talk to people, and I feel I’m getting better at Creating Art daily.  I just want people to look at my art and say to themselves, “That Reverend Daisher Rocket is a nice guy.”  

My work focuses on taking the images of the “Old Master” and reimagining them in a bright colorful, simplistic manner,  with me as every person in the painting. Making myself part of The History of Western Art, also it’s really very funny. 

The series of paintings featured in this show are a retelling of all or at least a bunch of Botticelli’s Mother and Childs, with of course me being everyone in t 

he painting.  Like look there’s a baby Daisher jesus, and he has a beard, also he’s The Mom too, cool.  Is something you will hear when viewing.
